Welcome to the home page of the Inishbofin Island Hostel. This hostel
is situated in one of Ireland's most westerly islands. Inishbofin is
a beautiful island, 6 km in length and 3.5 km wide, with several
magnificent sandy beaches which are safe for swimming. The island
(population 200) has two hotels, a pub, restaurants, post office and
one grocery shop. It is also well known for it's excellent
traditional music sessions. |
|
The hostel itself was originally a traditional farmhouse which has
been converted into a modern hostel, retaining all the character and
charm of the old building. It's large conservatory (winter garden)
offers spectacular views of the Connemara mountains and coastline. It
has a cosy sitting room, complete with a stove and a good selection
of books and magazines. We have family rooms, private rooms and small
dorms, plus a self-catering kitchen. |
 |
The hostel is open all day from the 1st of April to the 1st of October. We ask that children under 16 be accompanied by an adult.
No animals or pets are allowed in the hostel. Advanced booking is
advised, and a deposit is required. Click here
for details on how to contact us.
