Travelling from Galway, take the N59 through Moycullen and Oughterard on to Clifden. Turn right in Clifden to continue on the N59 towards Leenaun and take a left turn for Cleggan.

From Castlebar take the N5 to Westport and then the N59 to Leenaun. Turn right before Clifden for Cleggan.

Michael Nee's private bus company (+353 95 51082) runs an inexpensive daily service from Galway and Clifden to Cleggan during the Summer months. The bus leaves Galway at 12.00 from the Foster Street bus park, and meets the 14.00 ferry from Cleggan in the summertime. All ferries to Inishbofin depart from Cleggan pier, and the journey takes 30 minutes. Two ferry companies operate the route - King Ferries and O'Halloran Ferries.

On Inishbofin turn right at the end of the pier. The hostel is situated 700 metres from the pier on the road to the east village.
